The sky Moon in Virgo all day · new moon, 1% lit · Saturn retrograde. New moon tomorrow, at 4.27am.
Answer the invitation either way
The generally flattering light goes off today: Venus moves out of your sign. Nothing has gone wrong. You simply stop being able to make a postponement look like agreement, which was a useful trick and had started to cost you more than it saved.
Love
There is an invitation on the side, or sitting in your inbox, that you have not answered because you do not want to go and cannot find a kind way to say so. No on a Thursday is far kinder than a cancellation on the morning. Decline, wish them well, and offer a date in October if you mean it.
Work and money
Two colleagues have been polite at each other in your direction for a week, and you have been translating between them out of kindness. Stop translating. Get them in the same room for fifteen minutes and say the disagreement out loud in one plain sentence, so both of them can hear how small it is.
Body and mind
Beauty is not a luxury for you, it is how you settle. Move the chair, open the window in the room that has smelled of August since August, put the flowers where you will actually see them. One corner made right tends to hold the rest of the evening together.
If you read nothing else
Decline by lunchtime; cancelling on the day costs far more
The sky Moon in Virgo all day · new moon at 4.27am · Saturn retrograde. First quarter on Friday at 9.44pm, seven days away.
Say which one you actually want
Something loosens in the way you speak today: Mercury arrives in your sign, and for a few weeks the words come out in the right order. Point that at something you want, rather than at smoothing a room that was not especially bumpy.
Love
You are very good at asking what everybody else would like and then eating the second choice. Name the thing this weekend. The restaurant, the film, the Sunday that belongs to you, or the fact that you would rather stay in. People who love you find your preferences interesting; it is the shrug that is hard to live with.
Work and money
In any meeting where opinions travel round the table, you speak last and split the difference. Go early today. Say your own view before you have heard everybody else’s, and it will be sharper than the compromise you would have assembled, and it will be attributed to you rather than to the room.
Body and mind
Noise wears you down faster than work does. If the week has been open plan and loud, twenty minutes somewhere with a high ceiling and no conversation in it does more for you than an hour of company: a gallery, a church, an empty bench.
If you read nothing else
State your preference first; the compromise can come afterwards
