Three achievements before any faults
Mercury is still travelling backwards, so expect today’s small print to need a second look: the time on an invitation, the attachment that never attached. You are good at catching these. Catch them without comment, and move on.
Love
A friend may ring for advice about their landlord, listen to every word, and then do something else entirely. Your counsel was sound; what they do with it is theirs. Ask on Friday how it went, and mean the question, with no trace of “told you so” in your voice.
Work and money
Your self-assessment for the annual review may be due by Friday, and the temptation is to list every fault you have noticed in yourself since March. Write the achievements first: three, each with a number beside it. Your manager is likely to read the first paragraph closely and skim the rest, so put the best of your year there.
Body and mind
Your wrists and fingers may do more work than the rest of you today. Once an hour, stand up, shake your hands out loosely and roll your shoulders back twice. Eat lunch somewhere with a window, and make tonight’s supper something that does not need to be exactly right.
Write the good things first, and leave the faults for someone else to find
