Bread dough and a late payment
After two unhurried days, the mood turns chatty and quick, as the Moon slips out of your sign in the small hours. Let others talk. Your job today is to listen for the one sentence that matters.
Love
If your sister and her children are staying for half-term, expect noise from seven and a kitchen that never quite empties. Give everyone a job and a time: breakfast at eight, out by ten, back for tea. You are a generous host, and generosity lasts longer when it has a timetable.
Work and money
A client may still owe you for work you finished in September. Chase it today, by phone first and then in writing: the amount, the original due date, and the day you now expect payment. You need not be cross. Calm and specific is the tone that moves a finance department.
Body and mind
Bake bread tonight, or anything that needs kneading. Ten minutes of pushing dough about the worktop does for your shoulders what no amount of talk can, and the house smells of it till morning. Eat the first slice warm, with butter, standing up.
Chase the money calmly, then knead the dough tonight
