The constellation of Taurus, the Bull

Six years of silence in the front room

The full moon falls in your own sign in the small hours of Monday, a fitting start to a week about something that has stood in the front room for six years without being played. Keep the piano, or sell it? Have it tuned and valued on Tuesday. Let Wednesday and Thursday pass without deciding. A family who want it for their daughter come to look on Saturday, and you may answer them in your own time.

Love

The piano was your mother’s, or your grandmother’s, and your brother may well have a view he has not been asked for. Ring him on Wednesday, before he hears it from someone else, and ask what it means to him. Those who never played it often feel most strongly. If so, offer him the stool and the box of music, which fit in a flat.

Work and money

Desks are being rearranged at the office, and yours is on the list. You have sat by the same window for four years, with the chair adjusted just so. On Thursday, ask in writing whether the chair can move with you; a reasonable request made early is usually granted. Pack the drawer on Friday, slowly, and throw away the pens that have not worked since Easter.

Body and mind

Big decisions settle in your shoulders before they reach your head. Eat early and warmly this week: something baked, something with gravy. Walk through the park at lunchtime on Thursday, kicking the leaves as you go; it is undignified and it helps. After Saturday’s visitors, promise yourself a slow Sunday morning, and keep the promise.

The day to watch
