A cape for Saturday, glue included
A busy Wednesday, with people competing to be heard and very few listening. Your warmth carries further than any volume today: spend it on one person at a time, starting with whoever holds the lift door.
Love
A child in the family may want help with a Halloween costume for Saturday: a cape, a crown, wings that actually flap. Say yes, and make it properly, with glue and glitter and a fitting in the hall. You will be the most admired grown-up in their week, and the photographs will outlive the costume.
Work and money
In this morning’s team meeting, everyone may talk at once and nobody finish a sentence. Let them. Speak third or fourth, slowly, with one clear proposal and the name of who should own it. A room that has worn itself out tends to turn towards the calm voice, and you have a good one when you use it.
Body and mind
Book the class you keep looking at online: salsa, boxing, anything with a teacher and a wall of mirrors. Your body has more heat in it than a desk day can use, and an hour of being shown how, then doing it well, leaves you pleasantly tired and quietly pleased with yourself.
Speak third in the meeting, and say yes to the cape
